The driver of a tractor-trailer died Wednesday morning in Greenville County when it hit a storage shed that had come off the trailer that was carrying it, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident began when the shed hit a guardrail and broke free from the trailer. When the building went into the westbound lane, Zeigler’s tractor-trailer hit it head-on. According to the coroner, Zeigler died at the scene. The driver of the truck pulling the shed was uninjured.
