Syracuse, NY — On February 24, 2022, tow truck driver Irael Martinez lost his life helping a vehicle that was disabled on the side of Onondaga Lake Parkway. Yesterday, a hundred plus tow trucks from all over the state showed up to pay respect to their fellow driver. Drivers hope that this tragedy will lead people to be more aware and avoid another incident. The procession of trucks passed through the city, by his garage and to a memorial that was set up where Martinez lost his life.
