Truck driver from Tennessee gets $200,000 from $10 Arkansas lottery ticket

Tennessee truck driver Cody Wilson normally buys his scratch-off tickets in his home state, but after winning a $200,000 lottery prize in Arkansas, he may start visiting the natural state more often.

Wilson is a truck driver from Lexington, TN, and makes deliveries to Arkansas about once a week, according to a release from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. Wilson said he will only occasionally buy scratch-off tickets in TN but decided to pick up a $10 Show Me ticket during a stop at a Circle K in Lonoke, AR.

While refueling his tank, he scratched the ticket and found he won $200,000, truckersnews.com reported.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Wilson said. “I immediately called my wife.”

Wilson is reportedly planning to put his prize money in savings for his three children.
