Don Crouse, a veteran trucker with 50 years of experience on the road was recently announced as the grand prize winner in the Pilot Company’s 2023 Road Warrior competition.
Currently employed by Boyd Grain in Washington, Indiana, Crouse goes above and beyond his role on the road. He passionately honors fallen soldiers by working with Wreaths Across America and serving as part of the official escort to Arlington National Cemetery. In addition, he and his wife, Cindy, organize ceremonies throughout Indiana to pay tribute to America’s heroes. Remarkably, his truck showcases an impressive display of 64 veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
As the grand prize winner, Crouse was awarded $15,000 in prize money.
Among the other notable winners was Robert Palm, a trucker with 42 years of experience and the founder of Truckers Final Mile. He received a well-deserved $10,000 as the second runner-up.
Angelique Temple, an owner-operator with over 20 years of driving experience, took home a worthy prize of $5,000 as the third-place winner.
