Truckers Across America Unite: A Virtual Convoy to Honor Our Fallen Heroes

Wreaths on graves

Wreaths Across America is proud to announce a virtual convoy which will expand its mission of honoring veterans nationwide, through the partnership and support of State Trucking Associations. Over 300 transportation companies generously donate equipment, fuel, staffing, and time each year to help ensure our nation’s servicemembers are honored at more than 3,700 participating cemeteries across all 50 states in America – an inspiring reminder that we should never forget those who have served for us.

WAA’s nationwide convoy is amplifying freedom from coast to coast! 37 states have already joined the mission in support of their local State Association. This endeavor seeks to raise awareness for year-round remembrance, honoring those that serve and educating future generations about our country’s freedoms. Additionally, each participating association will reap potential financial benefits through a Group Sponsorship Program connected with Arlington National Cemetery – where heroes representing every state are laid to rest. All contributions help bring dignity and respect back into American values for many years ahead.

On National Wreaths Across America Day in 2023, 260,000 veterans’ wreaths will be placed upon the graves at Arlington and other veteran cemeteries. City-by-city truckers have answered the call to help fill one virtual tractor trailer full of 5,000 sponsored wreaths from each participating state – with $5 out of every sponsorship helping fund local programs back home. Together we are honoring our fallen heroes this December.

“The trucking industry plays such a vital part to our program,” said Karen Worcester, executive director, Wreaths Across America. “Thanks to their support we can deliver millions of sponsored veterans’ wreaths to every state for our volunteers to place on the headstones of our nation’s servicemembers. Through this effort, we hope to introduce the mission to new members of the industry and give them the opportunity to raise funds for their own initiatives that impact their communities locally, while helping us to honor and remember servicemembers from their states.”

WAA has made a difference in the lives of countless individuals and organizations since 2007. Through its $5 Sponsorship Group program, more than 20 million dollars have been donated to causes that support vital civic engagements and youth initiatives across America’s heartland without requiring State Trucking Associations or their members to sacrifice any of their own resources.
