Volvo Trucks North America has announced a safety recall impacting certain 2023-2025 VNL truck models, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

According to the NHTSA, a key issue has been identified with the braking system. The organization stated, “The brakes may take longer than expected to activate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, ‘Air Brake Systems.’”

To address this issue, Volvo Trucks will provide a fix at no cost to affected owners.

  • Remedy: Dealers will install a new pneumatic circuit for free.
