The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) is accepting nominations for its 2027 Professional Drivers of the Year Awards, with five professional truck drivers set to receive $20,000 apiece. The program recognizes safety records alongside leadership, community involvement, and contributions to the trucking industry, with nominations open through December 4.
Drivers must be employed by a TCA member carrier to qualify, and their employer must submit the nomination. The association is looking for candidates whose accomplishments extend beyond their work behind the wheel, including those who have taken leadership roles within their companies or contributed to their communities.
Love’s Travel Stops and Cummins are sponsoring the awards, which will be presented during TCA’s Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, February 28 through March 3, 2027.
Jose Samperio, Cummins’ vice president and general manager of North America on-highway, said the program provided an opportunity to recognize drivers who consistently demonstrated professionalism, safety and dedication. Love’s Senior Vice President of Sales Jon Archard also expressed the company’s support for honoring those whose commitment to safety and service distinguished them within the industry.
Member carriers can review the eligibility requirements and submit nominations through the TCA Professional Drivers of the Year Awards website before the December 4 deadline.
