The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has started accepting nominations for the prestigious 2024 Mike Russell Trucking Industry Image Award. Sponsored by Great West Casualty Company, this award recognizes companies, organizations, and individuals who significantly enhance the public perception of the trucking industry. It honors those who prioritize safety, demonstrate high professionalism, and creatively promote the industry.
Last year, distinguished recipients included the Florida Trucking Association, Idaho Trucking Association, Total Transportation of Mississippi, Bob Bramwell, and Rob Phillips. “The Mike Russell Award showcases the creativity and dedication of individuals and organizations to burnishing the image of trucking and raising positive awareness of the industry,” said Sarah Rajtik, Chief Operating Officer of the American Trucking Associations. “This award recognizes people who go above and beyond to improve the image of trucking, while inspiring others to contribute in the future.”
Named in honor of Mike Russell, a dedicated supporter of the trucking industry and former ATA Vice President of Public Affairs, this award celebrates his legacy and commitment. Nominations are evaluated by a panel of judges based on several criteria: creativity, frequency, reach, impact, and execution.
To learn more about the award and submit a nomination, visit the official nominations page. All nominations must be completed and submitted to the ATA Industry Affairs Department by August 6. Winners of the 2024 Mike Russell Trucking Image Award will be announced during the American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for October 12-15 in Nashville, Tennessee.
