Pilot Travel Centers has reached a significant milestone with the completion of more than 100 remodels as part of its driver-focused $1 billion New Horizons initiative.

“Reaching 100 remodeled locations since launching our New Horizons initiative is a proud milestone for our teams and a reflection of our commitment to enhancing the travel experience for everyone on the road,” said Allison Cornish, senior vice president of store modernization at Pilot Travel Centers LLC. “These upgrades are an investment in our teams, in our guests, and in our communities, making our locations a great place to work and shop.”

To mark this achievement, the recently revamped Flying J travel center in Salt Lake City threw a celebration attended by notable industry figures such as the Diesel Brothers, the Jurgys (a travel-influencer family), local officials, and school district leaders. The event featured a day filled with music, games, and giveaways. Festivities commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the presentation of a $20,000 check to West High School’s Health Clinic. Attendees also enjoyed food sampling, fuel card giveaways, and engaging meet-and-greets with the Diesel Brothers.

The celebration and excitement extended to the newly reconstructed Pilot Travel Center in Greenfield, Ind., where a grand re-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony took place. This celebration included two $10,000 check presentations to each of the local school districts, exciting prize giveaways, Pilot swag distribution, food sampling, and a special appearance by social media influencer Clarissa Rankin.

“We received many requests from drivers to renovate the Greenfield, Indiana, store and its amenities, which is why we completely tore down and rebuilt a brand-new travel center with sparkling restrooms and more fresh food options,” Cornish said. “The feedback from our guests has been key to the New Horizons program, helping us evaluate which locations and what upgrades we will make as we continue to enhance our travel center network.”

Both the Pilot and Flying J travel centers in Greenfield and Salt Lake now boast an array of updated features, elevating the customer experience. These enhancements include refurbished restrooms and showers, a state-of-the-art kitchen offering expanded freshly prepared foods, self-checkout options, convenient laundry facilities, and an upgraded lounge catering to the needs of professional drivers. The New Horizons initiative continues to transform Pilot Travel Centers, ensuring they remain at the forefront of providing top-notch services and amenities.
