We recently heard that California Supreme Court refused to hear AB5, and now truckers are protesting in LA and Long Beach alongside the ports of Los Angeles. AB5 is a state law limiting the use of independent-contractors and truckers held a convoy in protest. The truckers started by driving over the Vincent Bridge between Long Beach and San Pedro, then made it up to the 100 Freeway. There were drivers carrying signs in protest, marching to the port complex entrance. This was a convoy for an anticipated 24-hour work stoppage.
